     Robert was born at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, PA, on 3 January 1896. He was the son of Robert Porter Long Sr. and Angeline Simms. Robert was confirmed at age 13 at Trinity Luthern Church, Latrobe, PA, on 31 October 1909. He was baptized at Trinity Luthern Church, Latrobe, PA, on 27 March 1910. Religion: Luthern. He married Anna Margaret Eamigh at Cumberland, MD, on 22 June 1920. Robert died on 5 July 1973 at Latrobe, PA, at age 77. His body was interred on 7 July 1973 at Latrobe, PA, at Unity Cemetery.
