     Roger was born on 24 August 1944. He was the son of Robert Porter Long Jr. and Anna Margaret Eamigh. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe, PA, on 18 September 1945. Religion: Lutheran. He married Barbra Musnug at Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe, PA, on 1 May 1965. Roger died on 15 February 1966 at Youngstown, PA, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, PA, at age 21. A young Latrobe area father was dead on arrival at Latrobe Hospital last night following a one car accident on Bethel Church Road, one half miles south of Youngstown. State Police said Long, traveling alone in a 1953 model auto, apparently lost control, ran off the road and struck a tree. They said damage in the 10:45 crash amounted to about $100. Death was caused by shock and multiple injuries.. His body was interred on 19 February 1966 at Latrobe, PA, at Unity Cemetery.
