George Washington Crowell was born on 4 June 1857 at Iowa. He was the son of Alvin Crowell and Milinda Covey. George Washington Crowell married Julia Etta Merritt, daughter of Truman Merritt and Maria Shattuck, on 20 December 1914 at Nevis, Hubbard Co., Minnesota. George Washington Crowell died on 13 April 1931 at Nevis Village, Hubbard Co., Minnesota, at age 73.
