     Robert was born at Conemaugh, PA, on 9 March 1941. He was the son of Ronald Earl Lauffer Jr. and Rachel Elizabeth (Betty) Bumford. He married Lorraine Toney on 28 January 1965. He married Catherine Badoura Alfano at Front Royal, VA, on 2 February 1991. Robert died on 23 August 2000 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA, at age 59. His body was interred on 4 October 2000 at Arlington Natinal Cemetery. Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium, Section P6, Stack 2, Niche 3..
