Gordon Francis was born on 10 December 1880 at Glamorgan, South Wales, United Kingdom. He was the son of William Francis and Rosina Powell. Gordon Francis married Catherine Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of William Graham Stewart and Matilda Catharine Altemus, on 4 June 1919 at Johnstown, Cambria Co., PA. Gordon Francis died on 1 August 1953 at Garfield Heights, Cuyahoga, Ohio, at age 72.
